Cost reduction mainly dependent on required optical performance. Generally, the percentage of optics, electronics, and mechanical parts of the BOM are 45~50%, 35~40%, and 15%, respectively.

• No substantial NRE is foreseen.
• Reduced number of parts
• Parts as simple as possible

• Changes to the design will involve some qualification steps

4. System engineering

• New system design and qualification.
• NRE varies with the required level of qualification requested
